- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) oil
- 200 g small yellow potatoes, halved
- 4 eggs
- 50 g butter, melted
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
Steps (7)
- Season the steak cubes with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Stir the melted butter, minced garlic, chilli flakes, and parsley together in a small bowl.
- Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 1 to 2 minutes per side until crusted, then remove to a plate.
- Add the potatoes to the same skillet, cut side down, and cook over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, turning, until golden and tender.
- Return the steak to the skillet and make four small wells among the potatoes.
- Crack an egg into each well, cover, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the whites are set.
